The most significant launch in the fire protection sector for a decade, the new Sinteso system from Siemens Building Technologies makes full use of recent advances in sensor and embedded processor technologies. The result is a comprehensive system which is modular and easily scaleable to suit applications of any size and complexity, and which combines fast, certain response to fire phenomena with a level of freedom from false alarms which other systems cannot even get close to achieving.

Developed after ten years of intensive research, and now fully optimised to meet the specific needs of users in the UK, Sinteso products are ideally suited to helping users meet their obligations under the new Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order (RRFSO). The Sinteso product family includes a broad range of detectors and accessories, complemented by versatile yet easy to use fire control panels.

Central to the range are Sinteso S-Line detectors. Easily able to satisfy even the most demanding requirements, these detectors use Siemens new and patented ASA (Advanced Signal Analysis) technology. This works with a pre-stored parameter set chosen by the installer or user to accurately match the operating environment.

Using dynamic algorithms that continually adapt to changing conditions, S-Line detectors compare the signals from their sensors with the chosen parameters to produce an accurate real-time assessment of the situation. This novel arrangement allows high sensitivity to be achieved while virtually eliminating the risk of false alarms.

To emphasise its confidence in the new S-Line products, Siemens is backing them not just with a System Lifetime Guarantee, but also with a Guarantee Against False Alarms. This is the first time that any UK supplier of fire safety equipment has offered such a comprehensive combination of guarantees.

Sinteso fire control panels offer a clear and intuitive user interface and logical menu driven operation, which makes them easy to use, even under stressful fire conditions. The panels are available in versions which support up to 504 connected devices, and they can easily be linked to form networks of almost any size.

Highly customisable to suit individual applications, Sinteso fire control panels also incorporate Ethernet/BACnet support as standard, allowing straightforward connection to PC-based remote access terminals, and to building management systems.
