Like a Phoenix From The Ashes
Back in May 2006 a substantial fire requiring twenty fire appliances and over 100 fire fighters broke out and engulfed the building. Flames leapt 20ft into the air, cladding melted and the intense heat blew the windows out above the office, 15 years hard work literally went up in flames.
It took Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service a good 2 hours to get the blaze under control and it was midnight before the flames had finally been doused.
When Managing Director Raoul Perfitt was finally allowed into the remains of his business the sight that greeted him was one of almost complete devastation, but on entering what had been the manufacturing area he was amazed to see that the Empteezy Drum Storage unit he had purchased only recently was, apart from superficial blackening completely intact and the contents were completely untouched too.

The cause of the fire was put down to rubbish self combusting and it was estimated that temperatures at the seat of the fire reached in excess of 600 degrees.
