Adjusting fire door slamming strips/rebates

Does anyone have any guidance on how far you should limit the adjustment of slamming strips/rebates for twisted fire doors before the decision is made to replace the door?

I am not in favour of trying to give a simple prescription with a question that requires further information than you have given, however I will probably be able to convince you that if you feel the door is not fitting correctly within the frame and closing strips then my observation of fire tests over the last 20 years will tell me that a fire will attack those weaknesses with relish, simplicity and with pretty spectacular success.
