FIRE PROTECTION OF ROLLING STOCK

With constant changes being made to the technical and regulatory environments, fire safety management for rolling stock is an increasingly complex area. Further amendments to TSIs and CEN/TS 45545 still leave several elements of the regulatory framework on fire safety unclear such as the combination of materials and components. In the current transition period between national and European standards operators, rolling stock manufacturers and sub-suppliers are heavily working on solutions as to how to implement these requirements in their organisations. In addition, the development of new technologies and systems means that fire protection approaches have to constantly be reviewed. Due to all these changes, better insight into current standards and future
trends is needed in order to plan in the long term.

Following the success of this conference series, Arena International's 6th Annual Fire Protection of Rolling Stock conference will be held on Tuesday 24th - Wednesday 25th March 2010 in London. The event will establish strategic solutions and highlight new technologies to enhance fire protection of railway vehicles. Through a series of best practice presentations and case studies, this event will provide you with insight into railway operator and rolling stock manufacturer approaches as well as presentations from regulatory authorities to current and upcoming fire safety issues.
