The UK Fire Association has just enrolled T H White in Devizes as its 100th member. Jon Giddings from T H White Installation Ltd said that the reason they had joined was “because of the reputation of the association itself and its directors”. He also added that T H White Security & Fire Division is growing quickly and he believes that the UKFA will help them with their growth plans through the support and information it provides.

The UK Fire Association was established in February 2009 to support the development of small and medium sized professional fire companies and in so doing provides reassurance to consumers of fire equipment maintenance, fire training and fire risk assessments.

Alan Palmer (the UKFA secretary) said “The UK Fire Association was formed less than 2½ years ago so it’s incredible to be growing so fast”. He went on to say that he put this down to “The UK Fire Association providing a friendly environment to promote industry best practices without over complicating things. Members can get assistance and are encouraged to work together to provide a better quality of service for their customers”.

The UKFA chairman (Alan Price) added, “Membership is open to any bone-fide fire trade company that can demonstrate technical competence in their field of expertise and who hold appropriate and adequate levels of insurance”.

The UK Fire Association website www.uk-fa.org with it’s dedicated consumer, trade and member sections contains helpful articles and information.
