New Stand & New Products For Baldwin Boxall

Visitors to Baldwin Boxalls stand at either the 2009 ProLight & Sound or International Firex will be well rewarded. The now infamous Plug & Socket has a brand new look this year. In addition, there will be two brand new products being showcased.
So, whilst supping on Harveys Real Ale, visitors to the Plug & Socket can see a demonstration of the new BVRD2M4 mini router and the new BVRD voice alarm controller. Also on the stand will be the, increasingly popular, OmniCare emergency voice communication system.
BVRD2M4 Mini four zone voice alarm router
This new unit retains many of the features of the well established EVAS BVRD2M router. However, it is small enough to fit alongside a VIGIL2 amplifier and power supply in one 19 mainframe.
The units four electronically balanced inputs have both independent priority and level settings, allowing for dual mode. Input one is configurable to bypass the processor with an all call facility.
All four outputs have ten band parametric equalisation with audio delay, the inputs have three band (plus bass and treble) equalisation; providing a high degree of audio processing and enhancing intelligibility.
Features include: built-in real time clock, six flash stored messages, automatic amplifier changeover, ambient noise sensing, decentralised networking, fully configurable using USB2 connection and many more.
BVRD microphone controller
This unit has been designed specifically for the voice alarm (VA) market and will interface with Baldwin Boxalls VIGIL2 routers. The BVRD performs as a paging microphone, fire microphone or an emergency all call microphone.
The new microphone controller features LCD screens to indicate zone name, input source and fault status. There is also a screen which allows the user to scroll through pre-recorded messages stored on the EVAS router.
The BVRD controller is available in four different sizes: 8, 16, 24 or 32 zone. For systems with more zones the company recommends employment of its touchscreen technology (also demonstrated on the stand). The fully monitored unit includes features such as: all call paging, programmable function keys, emergency control mode, volume adjustment for any zone, fault indicators and much more.
VIGIL OmniCare
This is an addressable emergency voice communication system that allows disabled refuge, fire telephones and disabled toilet alarm remote units to be wired in one system. It has been developed in accordance with BS5588, BS5839 part 9 and BS8300:2001 (for the disabled toilet alarm).
The system has two main components: a Master Control Panel and the Remote Units. The Master Control Panel is available in various options: 8-128 way. Control panels also function as slave panels when wired into a Vigil OmniCare system on the ring circuit loop. The Master Control Panel is normally wall mounted within a central control room, with additional panels at other locations for control of local areas, e.g. in a stairwell or fallback position. The remote units are supplied in four different styles: Disabled Refuge, Fire Telephone, Disabled Toilet Alarm and combined Disabled Refuge/Fire Telephone.
Extremely versatile and already proving very popular, OmniCare provides the solution for many projects both large and small.
Baldwin Boxall staff look forward to meeting you at the Plug & Socket.
