Groundbreaking Vibrating Alarm Provides Protection For The Deaf

Award-winning home safety device manufacturer FireAngel is set to release an innovative product to warn deaf people if there is a blaze or CO leak in the home.

This device can be placed underneath the pillow of a person who is deaf and vibrates strongly in the event of a fire or carbon monoxide leak.

It works in conjunction with FireAngel's state-of-the-art wireless Wi-Safe system, which was released earlier this year and has enjoyed substantial success in the home safety marketplace.

When the Wi-Safe Smoke Alarm and Wi-Safe Carbon Monoxide Alarm detect CO or smoke they instantly transmit a signal to the vibrating alarm, triggering it and alerting the sleeping resident.

This gives the person a much better chance of escaping and raising the alarm, thus decreasing the chance of serious injury or worse.

John Walsh, Managing Director, FireAngel commented: "With this device we are hoping to help those most vulnerable to a blaze or carbon monoxide leak in the home.

This vibrating alarm has been made possible by the unique and innovative Wi-Safe system. Not only could this help deaf people but particularly heavy sleepers, such as the elderly or children".

This potentially life-saving product is expected to be in B & Q stores by the first week in February and will be available for just £29.99 with 20% off as part of their 'daily living made easier' promotion.
