Fire Fighting Enterprises' (FFE) entire range of smoke detectors - including working examples of the new, technologically advanced Fireray 5000 - will be exhibited at the International Fire Expo, at the Birmingham NEC from the 21st to the 24th May 2007.

At stand E41 in Hall 8 (maps and other information can be found online at www.internationalfireexpo.co.uk) FFE will be displaying their infrared beam detectors, and will be able to demonstrate the new features of the Fireray 5000. With its visual laser guide and subsequent motorised auto-aligning optimisation features, installation and maintenance of the Fireray 5000 is simple and easy whilst the advantages of reflective beam technology are still retained.

Reflective beam smoke detectors house the transmitter and receiver in the same unit, with the infrared light being bounced back by a small prismatic plate on the opposite wall. This allows the coverage of a wide area by relatively few units, reducing the disruptions and costs of both installation and cabling.
